It is said that boys often become very interested in one subject, and I think a good way for them to learn is by using that topic as a basis for studying other subjects. Since my son likes insects and we found a ton of rhinoceros larvae (also known as Hercules Beetles) in my garden, we are going to learn about how to raise the beetles. We bought some materials at the one hundred yen shop.
I personally have already learned that the Japanese word for larva (The baby stage of a beetle) is 幼虫. I hope that if our larva (plural - larvae) grows and becomes a pupa I will naturally learn the name for that stage in its life cycle, too. If anyone has any advice about raising our beetle, do please let us know. #新居浜 #愛媛 #新居浜市 #英語 #英会話 #カブトムシ #幼虫 #beetles In Golden week we went to visit the Christmas tree which we planted at YutoRisuto Park in Otoyo. Although it seems to have lost a lot of needles near the base it is still alive and well. I do feel like it should have grown a little taller by now though...

Children are exceptional language learners. Here, our teacher, David, is teaching a class of kindergarten children. They are always very energetic, but they also like to sit down and read a story together sometimes, too. We use the "Happy Valley" textbooks. The characters "Kinka" and "Pinka" are very cute! #新居浜 #愛媛 #英語 #英会話 #English #子供の英会話 #習い事 |
